Bloom 125th Gala Event
Get ready for this 2 day event to be held at Bloom and Olympia Fields CC September 20-21 2025
The District 206 Education Foundation is proud to announce it will hold a two-day epic celebration on September 20th and 21st, 2025, to commemorate 125 years of Bloom educational excellence. Join us for a special event filled with fun activities, delicious food, and opportunities to support our students.
Founded in 1900, Bloom High School has been instrumental in shaping history in Chicagoland and throughout the United States for 125 years. Bloom was named to the National Register of Historic Places on June 3,1982 as an outstanding example of public art deco architecture. The interior entry includes a remarkable set of wall frescoes by the American artist Edgar Britton. The two limestone sculptures outside were designed by Curtis Drewes, and the amazing library contains a large globe made by the Weber Cordello Company for our 32nd president Franklin Roosevelt.
The Celebrations raise money for the Bloom Education Foundation, providing critical funding each year for a variety of projects including anatomy/kinesiology and physics labs, robotics, band and choir programs, vocational education equipment, fine arts activities, athletics and boosting Foundation endowment funds. Since its inception in 1992, the Foundation has raised close to $2 million in support of past, current and future Bloom students.
